Biography:

Noor Uddin is an undergraduate student at Baruch College/Cuny. He was born in 1984 in comilla, Bangladesh. He grew up in very small and poor village. Noor’s father name is Mohammed Mostaque Mia. Mr. Mia was one of the very successful business men back in Bangladesh, but when he got his DV lottery, he made a great sacrifice for his family. He left his business and country in 1995. When Mr. Mia came to NY in 1995, he struggled so badly to get a job, and to learn English. Finally, he got an odd job in a restaurant. He has been doing this job since he came here. I asked him why you are working so hard ( six days a week twelve hours a day), rather you could go back to your country and spend rest of your life very comfortably. He responded to me that to just get his sons quality and higher education. Mr. Mia has four sons, and Noor Uddin is older one. Therefore, Noor has so many responsibilities for his family, especially to make his father dream come true to get his higher degree. Besides College, Noor doing work study at Baruch College. Furthermore, he is trying to be good person with himself and with other such as his family, friends, neighbors, classmates, and professors. Noor never try to complain about anything because to him everything he has had is more then enough gift from Allah or God. He always thankful to Allah or God because when he see people other sides of this world dying for foods, and has no opportunities to go to school, and people are killing each others. That scene makes him more conscious about God gift. For instance, God give human legs, eyes sight, and hands, without these parts human could not do much. Lastly, Noor thinks we all should be very thankful to Allah or God for everything he gave us.

Hobbies

Spend time with my little brothers. I also enjoy sports such as cricket and soccer.
