I am currently a senior in the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and is matriculating towards a double major in Political Science and Journalism as well as a minor in Information Technology and Social Responsibility. I have been fully engaged in the Baruch Community since transferring in the Fall of 2007. I am the winner of both the 2009-2010 Alphi Phi Omega Memorial Scholarship and the 2009 Colin Powell Fellowship for International Diplomacy. As a Colin Powell Fellow, I spent the summer interning at the U.S. Department of State with the U.S. Mission to the Organization of American States (OAS) where I served as the Political and Public Affairs liaison and worked closely with the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affair's Public Affairs office to coordinate press relations for the trilateral ministerial meeting hosted by Secretary Clinton for the Foreign Ministers of Canada and Mexico. I enjoy studying international relations, media ethics and law and public diplomacy and plan to attend law school in the fall of 2011. I have studied French, Spanish, and Japanese and plan on doing a study abroad in Mar del Plata, Argentina to study Spanish in Argentina through the Hunter College CUNY study abroad program.
To take a few words from one of my favorite Broadway musicals Wicked, "I'm flying high defying gravity...and if I'm flying solo at least I'm flying free! And nobody in all of Oz no "Wizard" that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me down!"
