How To Blogroll In WordPress

You can manage a set of links, or a blogroll, using the Links menu in your WordPress.com blog. These links will show up on your blog if you have added the Links Widget. To add a Links Widget, go to Appearance > Widgets page > Links Widget.

To add a link of your fellow classmate in your blog, follow these simple steps and your good to go.

1.To add a new links of your fellow classmates, click on “ADD NEW” from the links menu. (Links menu is on left side under DASHBOARD)

2.The Add New Link page will load. Enter the name of the Students if you know in name section if not than just add URL of the student in web address section.

3.Skip other sections because I don’t think they are that important and go to CATEGORIES. Check the “blogroll” box here.

4.In target section, you can choose where a link will open when it is clicked on. If you click on “BLANK” it will open in new window or tab. If u choose “TOP” option, it will open the link in the top frame (ignore this one). The default option is “NONE” which loads a link in the current window/tab. Personally I think “BLANK” is a good option because you don’t have to go back and forth.

5.Ignore all other sections, It’s not important and go all the way down where is says “SAVE”. In the Save module there is an option to keep the link private so that it won’t be show on the blog. Use the Add Link button when you are finished editing the link details on the page.

6.That’s it. You’re done.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ADDED THE LINKS WIDGET TO YOUR SIDEBAR TO SHOW THE LINKS/BLOGROLL ON YOUR BLOG.
